Austin Healey - original late 1950s/ early 1960s vitreous enamel badge by Premier Badges of London in age-worn condition

An original Austin Healey ‘wings’ keyfob badge which will have been produced in the late 1950s or very early 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This badge is in age-worn condition with scratches and scrapes on the surface of the vitreous enamel as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos – this is almost inevitable in the case of a keyfob badge which has seen considerable use over the years which this one obviously has done.

These badges are rare and we have listed very few over the years – almost every one which we have listed has been damaged or worn usually to a greater degree than the wear on this badge .

The last one which we had was listed and sold in December 2022 .

Keyrings with badges like this one were used in open topped Austin Healey cars used as daily drivers in all weathers and almost all that had been used became damaged or simply wore out and were discarded at the time .

This vitreous enamel badge was made by Premier Badges of London and is still in completely serviceable condition despite the wear on the surface of the enamel – it will have many tales to tell if only a badge could speak !

It has now been safely remounted onto a new keyfob in an appropriate vintage’ grained black saddlery hide so can continue in use for many years ahead .

This badge is original & correct for use with Austin Healey 100, 100/6 , early 3000 Mk I  & Sprite Mk I .

If your car still had it’s original keyring ……………the badge on that  keyring would in all probability be in a much worse condition than this one !
