We have just this one example to offer of this original vintage Austin  keyring with a genuine tan leather keyfob which dates from the 1960s.

Brand new old stock – and in mint condition ( apart from the very slightest of storage marks after all these years ) having been in storage since it was made.

It would be very difficult to improve on this keyring to use in an Austin car of the period ……….this is pne of the best original Austin keyrings which we have seen and listed over the last 10 years .

Austin cars were used as daily drivers and in some cases travelled colossal distances and the keyrings eventually wore out – so this keyring is a very rare survivor .

Made at the time by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham –  their details are marked on the back of the badge .

In the 1960s Melsom Products made keyrings for most makes of car ( British, American & European ) and these were exported worldwide – it was quite an industry.

The badge is in jewellery grade vitreous enamel on chrome and is mounted onto a genuine light tan leather keyfob.

A top quality British made product made at a time when manufacturing standards of many products were beginning to decline rapidly.

Original & correct for use with any 1960s Austin motor car  – how many of those cars remaining will now be driven with a completely original keyring like this one ?
