Austin – original vintage mid 1950s vitreous enamel ‘ Flying A’ keychain badge with replaced snake chain

An original Austin key chain badge which will have been produced in the mid 1950s.

We have just this one key chain to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This original Austin keychain badge is in exceptionally good condition but had lost it’s original snake chain and splitring .

In that case we have fitted a ‘new’ snake chain & splitring using new old stock items already around 30 years old .

The jewellery quality vitreous enamel medallion depicting the famous ‘flying A ‘ is in superb condition and measures just a bit less than an inch ( 23mm) in width .

The very earliest car ‘keyrings’ which were produced were actually these key chains .

These preceded the familiar keyring with a badge mounted onto a leather keyfob by 2 or 3 years.

This key chain would be original & correct for use with any 1950s Austin motor car ,
