BMW – original new old stock early 2000s leather keyring with early logo design vitreous enamel badge

The keyrings in this listing are original BMW keyrings which we would think will have been produced around 2012 .

These keyrings will have been produced at the same time as the rare ’90 Jahre BMW’ keyring listed in a separate listing ( unless now sold ) and are not to be confused with that keyring .

We have just 5 of these superb quality keyrings to offer – these came to us from Germany.

When all 5 keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

These keyrings are new old stock items with a jewellery quality gilt plated vitreous enamel badge inlaid into a keyfob in genuine dark tan full grain leather .

We would think that they will have been produced by BMW at the time and sold as merchandise items – but cannot be sure of this.

The leather portion of the keyrings measures 45mm ( 1.75″ ) square .

The BMW Corporation was founded in 1916 as a manufacturer of aircraft engines and production was moved to Munich in 1922 ( where it remains to this day )

The first BMW logo appeared in 1917 in blue and white as a reflection of the state colours of Bavaria and the logo represented a stylised aircraft propellor.

The logo has undergone several changes over the years but remains true to the original design – the logo chosen for the vitreous enamel badges inlaid into these leather keyfobs is a reproduction of an earlier logo as can be seen by comparing the BMW font used in the badge with the font used nowadays.
