The keyring in this listing is an original vintage BMW keyring which will have been produced over 25 years ago .

We are currently offering 2  examples of this keyring – the particular keyring in this listing is keyring no. 2 – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

There is also another almost identical keyring currently listed – keyring no. 1 ( unless now sold )

The photos in this listing refer to this keyring no. 2 and the keyring which you receive will be the actual keyring no 2 in these photos .

This keyring is in excellent condition with a jewellery grade vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather of a generous thickness .

The vitreous enamel badge is in excellent condition with hardly a mark on it .

The genuine black leather keyfob which the badge is mounted onto is also in very good condition with the slightest marks showing that it has been used .

The leather is slightly marked beneath the badge where the badge has lain and the reverse of the leather keyfob is virtually unmarked apart from a few wrinkles in the leather as you would expect to see on a keyfob which is in genuine leather .

If the keyring is being bought to be used as intended – then a keyring like this one is ideal and represents a considerable saving over buying a similar keyring in mint condition .

Examples of these keyrings do occasionally appear on internet auction sites but are almost always in well used condition  – these keyrings tended to be used on a daily basis and the vitreous enamel badges almost always have chips in the enamel around the edge of the badge and the leather keyfobs will be showing signs of wear .

These are the keyrings which were supplied with the top of the range cars which BMW had in it’s 1980s & 1990s line up.

These keyrings were almost certainly produced by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham – some were produced with their name on the back of the badges but most were unmarked like this example – most probably because BMW specified that they be left plain .

Manhattan Windsor were the premier manufacturer of quality automotive keyrings in the 1990s – sadly they closed their doors some years ago.

These are superb quality keyrings which any BMW salesperson would have been proud to hand over with a new car .

These keyrings exhibit the level of quality which British manufacturers were capable of producing before many automotive keyrings later became mass produced throw -away items with plastic resin badges mounted onto imitation leather keyfobs .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
