An original British Leyland keyfob badge which will have been produced in the very late 1960s or early 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .
We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This vitreous enamel on gilt British Leyland keyfob badge is in excellent condition and we have remounted it onto a new keyfob in black saddlery hide.
The original shine of the gilt plating has mellowed over the years as it always does to give a most attractive ‘ old gold ‘ effect as can be seen in the photos .
‘ Made in England’ marked on the reverse of the badge .
British Leyland was not formed until 1968 – so this badge will have been produced just after then .
British Leyland was formed in 1968 by the merger of British Motor Holdings (BMH) and Leyland Motor Corporation (LMC)
At that time LMC was a successful manufacturer whilst BMH was close to collapse.
The formation of British Leyland combined most of the remaining independent British car manufacturing companies and included car, bus and truck manufacturers .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
