An original British Leyland keyring which will have been produced in the very late 1960s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This is the only example of this keyring which we have ever seen and listed – this design will probably be the very first keyring ever produced for British Leyland .

Keyrings like these with a vitreous enamel badge bonded to a chrome plated shield were produced in the 1960s for a variety of cars – so we know that the keyring will date from the 1960s .

British Leyland was not formed until 1968 – so it must have been produced just after then .

The keyring is in mint new old stock condition with the badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine white grained leather – a very good quality item .

British Leyland was formed in 1968 by the merger of British Motor Holdings (BMH) and Leyland Motor Corporation (LMC)

At that time LMC was a successful manufacturer whilst BMH was close to collapse.

The formation of British Leyland combined most of the remaining independent British car manufacturing companies and included car, bus and truck manufacturers .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
