Chevrolet Corvette – original vintage 1960s keyring

An original Chevrolet Corvette keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s .

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Whilst this keyring appears to have hardly been used ( it came to us with other new old stock Freeline keyrings which had never been used ) the vitreous enamel badge does have an area of slight yellow staining ( which was common in solid white enamel ) and a small dark flaw in the enamel between the flags .

These flaws can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos and the keyring is priced accordingly .

Original vintage 50 year old Chevrolet Corvette keyrings are so few and far between that imperfections may have to be accepted .

So far as we can remember this is the only complete original early Corvette keyring ( still with it’s original leather keyfob and not a remounted original badge ) which we have ever listed .

Almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England in the 1960s & 1970s – it was quite an industry .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

By the style of the ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ backstamp on the badge & the style of the leather keyfob and the fact that it came to us with other Freeline keyrings we would think that this keyring was made by Freeline of Bristol .

Freeline’s keyrings had vitreous enamel badges mounted onto distinctive sharp shouldered keyfobs in a very good grade of genuine black leather – just like this one .

They were a small concern compared to Melsom Products of Birmingham who were the main automotive keyring producer at the time .

Freeline produced a surprising range of keyrings but in relatively small numbers – so examples of their keyrings for particular makes of car are few and far between .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is original & correct for use with 1963 -1967 2nd generation and 1968 -1982 3rd generation Corvette .
