Home / Online Shop / Chevrolet – original vintage 1970s keyring with acrylic badge
NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original vintage Chevrolet keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s.
When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
Keyrings like this one are rare items because they were ‘budget’ keyrings and were soon discarded when they became worn out or when the owner changed their car .
Very few have survived after over 40 years.
The example in this listing is in excellent condition apart from having a small hole punched through the keyfob beneath the badge.
We do occasionally see keyrings for other makes of car like this – and can only assume that they have been pinned to a board as part of a collection at some stage or that when the owner sold the car which they were used with the keyring was pinned up in the garage as a ‘memento’ .
The keyring was made by a Company known as Renamel who were based on Kilburn High Road in London.
At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .
The acrylic domed badge is mounted onto a keyfob in imitation black leather .
During the 1970s there was still a considerable market for high quality keyrings for using with Chevrolet cars .
At the same time there was a market for a cheaper keyring like this one probably for use with everyday driver cars .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO 59/22 06/22
