Citroen – original vintage 1970s Renamel keyring in age worn condition together with DS19 cast model attached – collector’s items

An original Citroen Renamel keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s together with a Citroen DS19 cast model attached .

We have just this one keyring and cast model to offer – when both together have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We have never before offered a keyring together with a model of the car it will almost certainly have been used with before !

This keyring is in age worn condition as can be seen in the photos and will have covered very many thousands of miles in it’s long life on the road .

The keyring was made by Renamel of London – their early 1970s keyrings had RENAMEL made in england marked on the reverse of the badge ……..this one is actually marked RENAMEL London – England and is the only Renamel badge which we have ever seen marked thus .

This is most probably one of the very first Renamel keyrings ever made whilst they were located in Kilburn High Road , London long before they relocated to Honey Pot Lane .

Renamel were the first manufacturer to produce these acrylic dome badges which have lasted over the years far better than their vitreous enamel counterparts .

The badge on this keyring is still in very fair condition after all those miles whilst the leather keyfob is in a very well worn condition but is still serviceable .

It would be a shame to remount the badge or alter this keyring in any way .

Attached to the keyring is a cast model of a Citroen DS19 – a car with a beautiful and unmistakeable shape and one of the most extraordinary cars ever produced .

The DS19 was produced up until 1975 and we have no reason to disbelieve that these 2 items will have been together since the 1970s .

If only keyrings could talk……………………..
