Cobra – vitreous enamel on gilt badge inlaid into a new leather keyfob

A couple of vitreous enamel badges which will probably have been produced within the last 15 years or so which we have inlaid into new leather keyfobs as can be seen in the photos .

We have just these 2 keyrings with these badges to offer  – when they have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This listing is to buy just one keyring .

These badges will have some age as gilt plating is rarely used these days and the badges are in vitreous enamel rather than the ‘modern’ resin based enamel badges – however they will NOT be original 1960s badges .

Badges like these could have been intended for use in steering wheel centres or for inlaying into the top of gear knobs .

We have adapted these badges to inlay into our keyfobs by means of bonding an oversized brass plate onto the back of the badge and then inlaying the badge into a new keyfob in full grain black leather – this is something which we have done with similar badges for many years .

Finally we have fitted a splitring in a similar plated finish to match the gilt plating of the badge .
