Daimler - original vintage 1970s keyring with red vitreous enamel badge - collector's item

An original Daimler keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s – possibly the very late 1960s .

Just this one example to offer with this red vitreous enamel badge – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in really excellent condition and could be new old stock having never been used .

The translucent red vitreous enamel badge has the typical Daimler ‘sunburst’ effect beneath the translucent enamel – in the 1960s and 1970s many Daimler keyfob badges were made in different enamel colours with this ‘sunburst’ effect beneath the enamel .

Even keyfob badges in solid enamel ( generally opaque black enamel & not translucent ) were made from the same dies and the ‘sunburst effect’ can still be detected beneath the enamel even though it is not visible .

The badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather gold embossed with the leather hide symbol & ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ .

It is most unusual for a keyring of this design with the leather symbol embossed to actually be in genuine leather !

Most were in imitation leather despite being embossed with the genuine leather symbol – this particular keyring must be one of the earliest of this design to have been produced .

Most original Daimler keyfob badges which we have seen are in solid black or translucent gold enamel – very rarely in any other enamel colour – so we were delighted when this keyring came to us together with a similar keyring but with the badge in translucent green enamel ( currently listed here in this website shop unless now sold .

Original vintage Daimler keyrings – particularly in good condition – are very scarce items .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is original & correct for use with any late 1960s or early 1970s Daimler motor car .
