Home / Online Shop / Daimler – original vintage 1970s Manhattan Windsor keyring – collector’s item
1 in stock
An original Daimler keyring which will probably have been produced in the late 1970s .
We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This keyring is in excellent condition and can hardly have been used .
The nickel plated vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather gold embossed ‘ REAL LEATHER – MADE IN ENGLAND ‘
The keyring was made by the very well known Manhattan Windsor Co. of Birmingham who made some of the best quality car keyrings ever made .
The badge is interesting as it is a later production of an original badge design formerly used by CUD ( Castles Unit Development Co. ) of Leicester and
CUD used this badge design on their famous torpedo keyrings in the 1960s .
Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham then used the same badge design in the late 1960s & early 1970s until they closed in the early to mid 1970s and Manhattan Products were also using it at the same time before becoming Manhattan Windsor .
The genuine tan leather keyfob is pressure embossed to give the appearance of pigskin leather .
This is something which Manhattan Windsor very commonly did – genuine pigskin leather had often been used for car keyrings for prestige marques such as Jaguar & Daimler in the late 1950s and early 1960s but had become very expensive by the 1970s .
This keyring is original & correct for use with any 1970s Daimler motor car and the one in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason or cancel your order – a full refund will be given.
