An original Dodge Challenger torpedo keyring which will have been produced in the early 1970s .
We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This keyring is in mint new old stock condition .
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a torpedo keyfob in genuine black leather .
The reverse of the keyfob is gold embossed ‘ REAL MOROCCO – MADE IN ENGLAND ‘
Morocco was the term for goatskin and the pebbly grain of the leather suggests that this keyfob is indeed goatskin .
Made at the time by Signa Crest who were possibly the final division of Craftsman who were originally Castles Unit Developments of Church Gate, Leicester England .
In the early 1970s almost all automotive keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were still produced in England – it was quite an industry.
No records survive – but it is thought that Castles ( the famous CUD keyring Co. ) later became Craftsman and an American connection is rumoured but so far not substantiated.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
