1 in stock
An original Elva Owner’s Club keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1990s .
We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
The Elva Owner’s club was founded in 1979 with the help of the founder of Elva Cars.
This keyring is in new old stock condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine full grain dark tan leather gold embossed ‘ TOP GRAIN LEATHER ‘.
This keyring was produced by Renamel in their final Honeypot Lane London location shortly before they closed their doors .
Renamel had produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings in the late 1970s & 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .
Renamel’s original badges were marked ‘ RENAMEL made in England’ on the reverse whilst Renamel were still at their original Kilburn High Road London location but later badges like the one mounted onto this keyring were no longer marked.
Renamel’s keyrings were almost always produced in imitation leather but this keyring is an exception as the keyfob is in genuine leather .
It may be that Renamel had bought in stocks of leather keyfob blanks from another manufacturer who had ceased trading or changed production .
The leather keyfob which this keyring has fitted does look suspiciously like a Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham leather keyfob although Manhattan Windsor were still in business at the time.
Maybe there was some cooperation between the two keyring manufacturers ?
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
