This is the only example which we have ever seen over the last 10 years.
An original owner’s club keyring for Fairthorpe, Turner & Rochdale – all small British manufacturers of fibre glass bodied sports cars from the 1950s until the 1960s & 1970s .
The keyring is in good condition with an acrylic badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .
The keyring was made by Renamel of Kilburn High Road London – the back of the badge contains their distinctive lower case ‘ made in england’ statement and they were the only early manufacturer producing acrylic badged keyrings .
Fairthorpe produced cars from 1954 – 1973 and are mainly remembered for the Fairthorpe Electron.
Rochdale produced cars from 1959 -1973 and are chiefly remembered for their Olympic Coupe .
Turner produced cars from 1951 – 1966 .
This keyring was discovered in a box of greasy tractor spares at an autojumble at Stickney in Lincolnshire !
The vendor behaved as if the keyring was the Crown Jewels and demanded an outrageous price which we had to negotiate around.
His price + our own fair mark up results in the outrageous price which we have now listed this keyring at. SMOSO 00/55 07/23
