NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

We are not licensed by Ferrari or any of their representatives to reproduce any of their designs .

This keyring is an original item which we would think will have been produced in the 1980s or 1990s – almost certainly over 30 years old .

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This original Ferrari keyring is an original vintage item which we would think dates from the 1980s or 1990s and is in good condition.

The condition of this keyring is exactly how we like to find a 30+ year old keyring – with a pristine condition enamel badge and mellowed leather keyfob showing the patination of 30 + years of careful use.

Most examples which we see have chipped enamel badges and the leather keyfobs have indents and general wear .

The enamel badge inlaid into this keyfob is unmarked whilst the genuine tan leather keyfob has acquired that depth of colour which only the passage of time and use impart.

The leather keyfob has become mellowed and polished with use as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .

This particular design of keyring was supplied by Ferrari over quite a long period of time – possibly from as early as the early 1970s right through into the present century .

These keyrings were made for Ferrari by Cuoio Schedoni Medina in Italy.

Schedoni’s relationship with Ferrari began in the 1970s supplying leather interiors and custom fitted leather luggage sets.

These earlier keyrings did have distinct differences from the later ones :- they had burnished & polished leather edges whilst the edges of the later keyrings were simply cropped & stained.

The links connecting the leather keyfob to the splitring were different – the earlier keyrings like this one had more delicate links which were in nickel plating rather than the chromium plating of the leather keyrings .

Nickel plating has a ‘ soft ‘ sheen rather than the very hard bright shine of chromium plating .

To illustrate this – the final 4 listing photos show an earlier Schedoni keyring like the one in this listing photographed next to a new 21st Century keyring.

The earlier one is shown on the left hand side with the delicate metal link compared to the heavier link on the later keyring on the right hand side.

The final photo of the 4 shows the heavier chromium plated link of the later keyring in more detail for comparison .

These original Schedoni  keyrings are becoming scarce particularly in this excellent condition.

There have been examples of original keyrings in poor condition with high asking prices on internet sites.

We constantly strive to offer original Ferrari keyrings and remounted examples of original Ferrari badges – but sourcing good examples of badges and keyrings has become very difficult .

The keyring in the photos ( not the final 4 photos ) is the actual keyring which you will receive .

The last Ferrari Schedoni keyring like this one was listed and sold in February 2022 – apart from the Schedoni keyring embossed ‘ 3.2 Mondial ‘ currently listed unless now sold . SMOSO  00/522   02/25
