We have only seen a couple of these original Foden lapel badges over the last 10 years but would think that they were much more numerous in the 1960s.
In those far- off days many people earned their livings driving Foden commercial vehicles which provided dependable transport all over the British Isles and beyond.
Those individuals were rightly proud of their craft and these badges were proudly worn in jacket lapels- very much ‘badges of honour’.
This badge is in excellent condition with vitreous enamel detail and was made by Frays of Birmingham who were one of the most respected makers of vitreous enamel badges at the time.
The name J. Fray can jsut be seen on the back of the badge in the photos.
The badge measures almost 1″ ( 25mm) in width – and was difficult to photograph with our limited skills !
The lapel badge in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
