Ford Consul Classic – original vintage 1960s new old stock keyring with light tan leather keyfob

We have just this one example to offer of this keyring in this leather colour .

This is an original vintage keyring dating from the 1960s .

The keyring was made by a company called Avon Cliff in England . They made car & motorcycle keyrings and enamel badges and were only in business for a very few years.

The leather keyfob is to the same design that Avon Cliff always used for their keyfobs which were produced in different leather colours and often with contrasting coloured stitching- very stylish for the time !

They always made their keyfobs in full grain leather which is unusual for the time as many keyfobs at that time were made using imitation leather- this Ford Consul Classic one is in light tan leather with black stitching . A top quality British made item from a time when manufacturing standards were generally in terminal decline.

The keyring is new old stock and has been in store for the last 50+ years.

It is in excellent condition with a black vitreous enamel badge which is as fresh as the day it was fired and a supple leather keyfob with good tight black stitching.

The leather fob is slightly darker beneath the badge – this area has not received any light over the last 50 years – but can only be seen when the badge is flipped up from the keyfob .

Original & correct for any 1953 – 1961 Ford Prefect 100E or 107E – if yours is one of the best around then it deserves to be used with an original keyring like this one !
