The key wallet in this listing is an original vintage Ford Consul key wallet which will have been produced around 40 years ago.

Quite a rarity – and the only one which we have ever seen………an original Ford Consul key wallet dating from the 1970s .

This key wallet is new old stock and is in excellent condition.

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a genuine leather wallet which is embossed ‘Genuine Leather – Made in England’

The wallet opens with a press stud to reveal 4 sprung steel hooks for securing keys.

Key wallets were popular items in the 1970s and were made for many makes of car – very few will have survived .

No well equipped Ford Consul driver would have been seen without one of these at the time !

This is the ultimate period accessory for that perfect car which has everything.

We have just this one example to offer which was made by the very well known Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham who also made keyrings for cars.

In the 1960s & 1970s almost all keyrings etc for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.
