The keyring in this listing is an original vintage Ford keyring which will have been produced many years ago.

An original Ford Cortina keyring with a badge will have been produced in the 1960s .

Please note that the badge may have been remounted onto the present leather keyfob at a later date .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

Original keyrings for Ford Cortina Mk 1 are relatively scarce items .

This keyring is in good condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black leather .

The vitreous enamel badge is in good condition for it’s age as can be seen from the listing photos whilst the leather keyfob is well worn in .

The badge was made by CUD ( Castles Unit Developments of Leicester ) who made these badges in the 1960s and famously produced the torpedo shaped keyfobs .

We would have expected to see this badge mounted onto a torpedo shaped keyfob and it may be that the original torpedo keyfob had worn out and the owner remounted the badge onto another keyfob that they had handy – the keyfob which the badge is currently mounted onto – things like this did often happen in those ‘make & mend’ days .

We could have remounted the badge onto a new leather keyfob ourselves – but preferred to leave it as it is with it’s unknown past !

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
