Ford Mustang – original vintage new old stock 1970s keyring

The keyring in this listing is an original vintage Ford Mustang keyring which will have been produced over 40 years ago .

An original Ford Mustang keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine full grain black leather .

We do very occasionally come across keyrings where we suspect that the badge has been remounted onto a new leather keyfob at some stage in it’s life ………this is one of them .

The leather keyfob looks to be a Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham keyfob – their keyfobs were very distinctive and of very good quality .

However the badge is not one of theirs – so maybe a previous owner has remounted the badge or maybe Manhattan Windsor didn’t expect to produce many of these keyrings so it was not economical to produce their own badges and they bought the badge in from another manufacturer .

None of this is particularly important of course – this is an excellent keyring for use in any Ford Mustang car of the period but we felt we should point this out .

‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ marked on the reverse of the badge – in the 1970s almost all keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .
