Ford Pinto – original 1990s Renamel keyring with acrylic badge

The keyring in this listing is an original vintage Ford keyring which will have been produced around 35 years ago.

An original Ford Pinto keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1990s for the classic car market intended for use with 1971 -1980 Ford Pinto .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in faux red leather – we actually think that it is genuine red leather ( very difficult to tell ! ) but to be on the safe side we will call it faux leather .

It will never have been used .

It will have been produced by Renamel in their final Honeypot Lane London location shortly before they closed their doors .

Renamel had produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings in the late 1970s & 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .

Their original badges were marked ‘ RENAMEL made in England’ on the reverse but later badges like the one mounted onto this keyring were no longer marked.

Renamel keyrings were budget priced but were well made and were produced in considerable numbers but not many like this one will have survived particularly in this condition – so we would regard this keyring as being a rare survivor .
