Gulf Petroleum ( Ford GT40 ) – original 1960s enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Gulf Petroleum keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

When this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

A rare keyfob badge – and only the 4th example which we have seen & listed over the years- the last example was listed and sold in October 2021 .

The enamel badge is in good used condition and was made by the very well known & well respected badgemakers J.R. GAUNT of London .

The finish is in coach enamel – not the more usual vitreous enamel – but has endured well over the last 50 years with just a few scrapes in the orange enamel which can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos.

This Gulf badge in these colours will always be associated with the 1967 Ford GT40 in Gulf Livery.

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather .
