Holden - original 1960s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

Reserved for customer in Australia

A rare original Holden keyfob badge dating from the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.

This is a badge which we have not seen an example of before over the last 10 years.

The vitreous enamel badge is in good condition and domed in cross section which is most attractive and very unusual .

When we wanted our Triumph world badges making for classic Triumph cars with a globe depicted onto a domed badge as they had been made 50 years ago, we were told that this was not possible as the liquid vitreous enamel would run out of the badge in the furnace . Only flat badges were available.

This badge proves that vitreous enamel could be fired onto domed badges 50 years ago !!

The maker’s name – Damman’s – is cast into the back of the badge.

Not a badgemaker’s name which we have come across before – obviously very skilled.

Made in England as almost all keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were in the 1960s & 1970s – it was quite an industry.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.  59/93  09/20
