Honda motorcycle – original 1990s? riveted keyring in age-worn condition

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Honda motorcycle keyring which is difficult to date as these riveted keyrings were produced from the 1980s up until relatively recently .

We would think that this one will have been produced sometime in the 1990s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in good serviceable condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The main feature of this keyring is the vitreous enamel badge – so much nicer than the badges in ‘ modern ‘ resin based resin enamel which are produced these days .

This keyring is in worn condition – the vitreous enamel badge is in good condition without any enamel chips and just a couple of surface scratches.

The faux leather keyfob is well worn in but still perfectly serviceable for use on a bike .

The badge is mounted onto the keyfob by means of an aluminium rivet securing the badge loop – this method of keyring construction carried on through the late 1980s into the present century .

‘Made in England’ marked on the back of the badge – almost certainly this keyring would have been made in Birmingham.

Some keyrings for the world’s bikes were still being made in England although that was changing fast .

Whilst being budget priced these keyrings were well made and had a genuine jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge .

New keyrings nowadays invariably have modern resin based enamel badges as vitreous enamel keyfob badges like the one mounted onto this keyring are apparently no longer produced in England .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO  00/53   11/24
