Home / Online Shop / Hudson – original 1950s/ early 1960s? vintage new old stock keychain still mounted onto original display card – collector’s item
1 in stock
An original Hudson keychain which we would think will have been produced in the late 1950s or shortly afterwards in the early 1960s .
We have just this one example of this keychain to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This is only the 2nd example of a completely original & intact Hudson keychain which we have ever seen & listed .
All that we have previously listed for Hudson were a couple of keyfob badges which we had remounted onto new leather keyfobs and just one original keychain .
Hardly surprising that not many keychains or keyrings exist as the final Hudson car came off the assembly line on June 25th 1957 – before car keychains & keyrings were in general use .
This keychain is in new old stock condition although the gilt plating has tarnished slightly during storage over the years and is still mounted onto the original display card as can be seen in the photos .
The badge is connected to the key clasp by means of a gilt plated chain .
The badge appears to have been produced in red coach enamel rather than vitreous enamel .
The keyclasp opens and shuts as it should to allow key(s) to be fitted – we have removed it from the display card to check this .
Almost certainly produced in USA – which is where we received it from .
The keychain in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
