1 in stock
An original Humber keychain which will have been produced in 1955 or 1956 .
When this keychain has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This keychain is new old stock and came to us still attached to the original ‘Emu Series’ sales display card dated on the back March 26th 1956 handwritten in pencil !
Also on the display card were keychains for Jaguar, MG & Wolseley.
Whilst the keychain is new old stock having never been used it has been on the display card for 65 years and does look it’s age as can be seen in the photos.
The vitreous enamel badge is connected to the splitring by means of a nickel plated snake chain – all in excellent order.
These keychains were the very first car keyrings which were ever produced – we have never seen any for any make of vehicle that are older.
They preceded the keyrings with leather keyfobs which started to make an appearance in the very late 1950s.
This keychain would probably have been originally purchased for use with a mid 1950s Humber motor car.
Sorry – we are not prepared to sell the keychain for the original price of 2/6 shown on the display card – 2 shillings & sixpence ( half a crown ) !!
If you have a 1950s Humber then this is an opportunity to purchase a keychain which is absolutely original & date correct for your car.
The Humber keychain in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason or cancel your order – a full refund will be given.
