Indian Motocycle – original USA keyfob badge or watch fob badge inlaid into a new keyfob in Indian red leather

An Indian Motocycle keyfob badge or possibly a watch fob badge which we have inlaid onto a new keyfob in full grain Indian red  leather as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This badge is in excellent condition and came to us from USA and appears to be plated in silver gilt .

Difficult to know when the badge will have been produced – but probably 1950s or 1960s ?

This is quite a large badge measuring 1.20″ ( 30mm ) in diameter.

We have bonded the badge onto a slightly oversize thin brass plate and then inlaid the badge between the two leaves of leather comprising the keyfob and have then hand stitched it into place as we have very successfully done with many hundreds of similar round badges over the years .

The full grain ‘ vintage’ leather which we have selected is in Indian red – that lovely timeless dark burgundy red from Dupont which Indian used in the 1920s & 1930s .

So far as we know it was only the late Indian Chiefs which actually had an ignition key which needed a keyring and the last of those bikes was produced in 1952 so this keyring will probably be used in an Indian owner’s motor car rather than on their Indian bike.

A superb keyring – and the only example of this badge which we have ever seen although more may be located in USA.
