Indian Motocycle – original vintage late 1950s Bastian Bros. New York bronze badge remounted onto a new keyfob in Indian red leather – collector’s item

An original Indian keyfob or watchfob badge which will have been produced in the 1950s which we have mounted onto a new leather keyfob in Indian red leather .

Unsurprisingly this is the only keyring with this badge which we have for sale – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

What a sensational keyring !

There are very few keyrings which we have listed over the last 15 years which will really stand out in our memory for all time ……..and this is one of them !

Sadly we become rather blase as all we see day in and day out are keyrings – but not in the case of a keyring like this one .

This is the only the second one of these Bastian Bros. Indian Motocycle badges which we have ever seen – the first one was mounted and listed and sold in June 2020 – and yes – it did go back to USA . No prizes for guessing where it sold to then .

Now another one has turned up .

A lovely keyring for the owner of any vintage Indian motocycle – Scout, Chief or Indian 4 – but maybe not to use on the bike as it was only the late Indian Chiefs which actually had an ignition key which needed a keyring – those bikes were produced in 1952 just before Indian ‘ bit the dust ‘ .

Otherwise this would be a superb keyring to use with one of the new Indians which we admire at Krazy Horse in Bury St. Edmunds in England.

We can think of no ‘cooler’ addition to one of those new generation bikes………………this keyring is ‘ Indian Jewellery ‘ .

Automotive keyrings did not come into general use until the late 1950s and we would think that this badge dates from around then – at that time there were still plenty of Chiefs on the highways of USA and also a few around the world – and keyrings would have been purchased by owners for use with those late Chief bikes.

This badge which we have mounted onto this keyring was made by the famous Bastian Bros. Company located in Rochester New York USA – the badge came to us from USA .

Founded in 1895, Bastian Bros. were renowned for producing top quality jewellery and medallions.

The quality and craftsmanship of their products is legendary – and they are still around today doing exactly what they have done best for over 100 years.

This is quite a large badge measuring 2″ ( 50mm ) from top to bottom and is made of bronze – consequently this is quite a large keyring ( like the bikes !)

We have fitted a splitring in antique bronze plating to match the badge .

Condition of the badge is superb as can be seen from the photos.

So special is this badge that we have remounted it onto a new keyfob in Indian red leather .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is one of the few keyrings in this online shop of almost 2000 keyrings which in many ways we would prefer to never sell and just keep it for ourselves at the end of the day .

£375.00 is a lot of money to ask for a keyring and would buy lots of other interesting things like a posh meal for four with wine at a fancy restaurant which is then gone for ever .

This keyring is forever and costs just the same amount .
