Jaguar 3.8 litre – original new old stock 1980s/ 1990s? acrylic badge keyring

£125.00

A Jaguar keyring which we would think will have been produced during the 1980s or 1990s for the developing classic car market .

This is NOT an original 3.8 Jaguar keyring dating from the 1960s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Apologies for the photos…………we found this keyring very difficult to photograph on account of the reflections which acrylic dome badges can produce !

This keyring is in new old stock condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

This keyring may have been produced by Renamel in their final Honeypot Lane London location shortly before they closed their doors – but by then other manufacturers were also producing keyrings with acrylic badges like this one .

Renamel had produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings in the late 1970s & 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .

The keyring represents the Jaguar 3.8 litre which in Jaguar Mk 2 saloon form was produced between 1959 & 1967 .

The 1961 – 1964 E-type Jaguar also used the same engine .

We do have a sneaking suspicion that we did list and sell a similar keyring some time back but can find no record of it – which is unusual .

Even if that is the case – this is a very scarce original keyring which is worthy of taking it’s place in a serious collection of original Jaguar keyrings – or actually being used in a 3.8 litre Jaguar car of course !

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive
