Jaguar/ Land Rover – original new old stock 1960s Reading UK main dealer keyring

An original Jaguar/ Land Rover main dealer keyring which will have been issued in the 1960s 

We have just this one keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition and is the only one which we have ever seen and listed – we very much doubt if many more will be around after all this time !

The keyring looks to be in genuine leather ( difficult to tell ) and is gold embossed with the Dealer’s details .

The Reading 686011 telephone no. stated predates the 0734 prefix which was introduced for Reading telephone nos. in the late 1960s – so we know that the keyring was issued before then .

This dealership had a curious mix of brands …………..Jaguar cars were and always have been a prestige brand whereas Land Rover only became a prestige brand comparatively recently .

In the 1960s Land Rovers were simply utility working vehicles – the other end of the spectrum to Jaguar !

We have not missed the Jaguar/ Land Rover connection either …………..this JLR dealer was many years ahead of the game !!

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – it would be a valuable addition to a Jaguar or a Land Rover known to have passed through this dealership at the time .
