Home / Online Shop / Jaguar – original vintage 1960s Grange Products keyring
NOW SOLD- sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original Jaguar keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s – probably the late 1960s .
We have just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This keyring is in very good condition for it’s age – so often the keyfobs of 50+ year old keyrings are in a very poor state or missing altogether .
The vitreous enamel badge is in really superb condition – quite remarkable for a keyring of this age .
Almost always there will be enamel faults or chips or worn nickel plating – nothing at all to report with this badge.
The keyfob is in generally good condition with good tight stitching .
At first sight and inspection we automatically assumed that the keyfob was in genuine leather – but later decided that this is not the case.
The keyfob is actually in faux leather but very difficult to detect from genuine leather .
At the base of the keyfob a hole has been punched through and there is the impression of a Jaguar ‘leaper’ on the surface of the keyfob – this can just be made out in the listing photos .
A small Jaguar leaper badge has obviously been attached at some stage in the keyring’s life .
This will have been a later addition and has since been removed or fallen off – as the Jaguar Leaper design is later than the time when this keyring will have been produced .
The splitring will almost certainly be the original item and has the ‘decorative’ crimped design which became popular for use with keyrings in the very late 1960s & early 1970s .
The keyring was made by Grange Products of Sydenham , London .
We very occasionally come across keyrings with Grange Product’s name on the back of the badge .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – a very rare example of a 1960s Jaguar keyring with a badge in a condition which it would be very hard to improve on .
