Jaguar – original vintage 1960s Melsom Products black growler badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Jaguar keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one example of this keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This Melsom ‘black growler’ keyring is almost the ‘benchmark’ Jaguar keyring – many thousands of keyrings with this badge will have been produced during the 1960s with very few of those badges having survived in good condition over the years .

Those keyrings did tend to get used as the cars they were made for were used as daily drivers at the time – just as prestige cars are still used nowadays- and most surviving badges have signs of wear and enamel chips .

This particular badge is in almost mint condition – just one slight surface scratch in the black enamel to the right hand side of the growler’s face.

The badge was made by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham whose name appears on the reverse of the badge and we have remounted the badge onto a new leather keyfob in full grain black leather in the original style which was used at the time

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .

This badge is an original item from the 1960s in the original ‘ old school’ vitreous enamel – this is not a reproduction badge in modern acrylic enamel which we are told are available elsewhere. SMOSO  00/541  01/23
