Jaguar - original vintage 1960s ' TREND' acrylic insert badge keyring - collector's item

An original Jaguar keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s .

We have just this one example of this particularly rare original Jaguar keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in very good condition for placing in a collection rather than actually using in a car .

It is only the 2nd one which we have ever seen over the years and even Bud Marston describes the keyring as ‘ unusual’ in his book on Vintage Jaguar keyrings featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section here in this website shop .

The photo of the identical keyring which Bud illustrates in his book is captioned ‘ Trend key fob courtesy of Classic Leather Fobs, England ‘ – so that particular keyring in his book will be the first one which we had in stock at that time !

The keyring in this listing has an acrylic insert badge – the acrylic insert is bonded to an aluminium alloy mount marked ‘ TREND Made in England ‘ .

This is then mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather which is gold embossed with the TREND logo ( rather worn )

‘ TREND’ were a British manufacturer who produced keyrings for a wide range of cars for a short period in the 1960s .

The keyring is in very good condition apart from wear to the leather where the splitring fits through .

In this area the leather has worn with small splits in the leather developing – and for this reason we have recommended that the keyring is suitable for placing in a collection rather than actually using in a car .

It would be OK for occasional ‘ Sunday afternoon’ use but not for daily use .
