Jaguar - original vintage new old stock late 1960s black growler melsom key wallet - collector's item

An original vintage Jaguar key wallet which will have been produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s.

When this key wallet has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

A very rare item – and only the 2nd example which we have ever seen in good condition- this one is actually new old stock.

We have seen other examples in poor condition which suggests that Jaguar owners used these key wallets on a daily basis at the time with the result that very few have survived .

This is an original Jaguar key wallet which will have been manufactured by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham whose name is cast into the back of the black growler badge which is mounted onto the front of the key wallet .

The wallet measures approximately 3″ x 1.75″ ( 75mm x 45mm ) closed.

Opened up it measures approximately 4.5″ x 3″ ( 115mm x 75mm )

It is in mint condition as can be seen in the photos.

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto the key wallet which is in genuine black leather.

Made in England as these items always were.

The press stud ( popper ) snaps shut with precision to close & secure the wallet as it should.

The 4 key hooks within the wallet are strongly mounted onto the leather case.

This key wallet is identical to an example photographed & described in Bud Marston’s Vintage Jaguar keyrings book which is featured at the beginning of the Jaguar section of this website shop.
