An original new old stock Jaguar keyring which will have been produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s.

We are listing just this one example which is the actual keyring in the photos – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

3 other similar keyrings have recently come to light and we will then list them one-by-one when this keyring has  been sold .

All 3 keyrings have slightly different vitreous enamel badges – so we prefer to list each one separately with photographs of the actual keyring.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather.

The vitreous enamel will have been hand laid and this has resulted in the black enamel not flowing to completely fill the space available at the right hand side edge of the badge as can be seen in the photos .

Apart from that the badge is perfect – and the ‘flaw’ will not affect the durability of the badge or the enamel in the slightest . It is simply a cosmetic flaw .

The splitring originally fitted is in gilt plate although the badge plating finish is bright polished nickel.

We would prefer to leave this original splitring in place unless you would prefer us to replace it with a matching nickel plated splitring .

Please let us know at time of ordering in the customer notes or by separate email if you would prefer a nickel plated splitring .

The keyring was made by Sedan who were based in Hertfordshire in England – their details are cast into the back of the badges.

Examples of these keyrings appear in Bud Marston’s  ‘Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ book featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section here in this website shop.

Bud describes the badge as ‘The Sedan 3-Star Growler ‘

Although these keyrings were produced a few years later than the Jaguar keyrings of the late 1950s & 1960s it is assumed that they would have been aimed at the same market – there were still many thousands of Jaguar sports & saloon cars on the roads of Britain, USA & the rest of the world in the 1970s with owners wanting a traditional leather keyring like these.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – probably one of the final ‘reasonably priced’ original new old stock vintage Jaguar keyrings available due to the enamel flaw.
