John Player Special - original vintage late 1970s/ early 1980s keyring

An original JPS keyring which will have been produced in the late 1970s or early 1980s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

Original JPS keyrings are scarce items .

We would expect that a fair number of these keyrings would have been produced at the time as promotional items but very few will have survived – this is only the 2nd example that we have ever listed .

This keyring is in very good condition with a vinyl inlay plated metal badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The badge is mounted onto the keyfob by means of an aluminium rivet – this method of badge mounting  is typical 1970s/1980s but did carry on into the 1990s .

In the 1970s & 1980s commercial sponsorship of F1 racing was at it’s peak and between 1972 & 1986 John Player sponsored Lotus and specially designed livery was produced .

That black & gold brand is still recognised and passionately remembered by Lotus enthusiasts worldwide .
