An original JPS Norton keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .
We have just this one example of this rare keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This is the only example of this keyring which we have ever listed .
This keyring is in very good condition with a gilt plated badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .
The badge is in perfect condition whilst the leather keyfob has become supple with wear and use but is in excellent condition .
Interestingly the splitring is in a black anodised finish – most unusual and in keeping with the JPS livery of black & gold .
This keyring would be the ultimate keyring to use with a 1974 JPS Norton Commando Limited Edition bike – possibly these keyrings were originally issued with those bikes ?
In 1971 Norton’s chairman Dennis Poore formed a works team to enter formula 750 events with sponsorship from John Player tobacco Co .
The team had some success in 1972 and then went on to win 14 international races in 1974 .
This led to Norton producing the JPS Norton Commando Ltd Edition bike styled to represent the racer .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
