Lagonda – original vintage new old stock 1980s/ 1990s Manhattan Windsor keyring – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original new old stock Lagonda keyring which we would think will have been produced in the very late 1980s or 1990s – or possibly in the very early 2000s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We have listed very few of these keyrings over the years  – and not all were in new old stock condition like this one.

This keyring was made by the famous Manhattan Windsor Company of Birmingham – the Company who made the very finest automotive keyrings and is in new old stock mint condition – they do not come any better than this example which is still mounted onto the original display card .

The jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge is a fine example of the vitreous enameller’s art as it is a very intricate winged design with many fields of white enamel .

The badge is mounted onto a genuine tan leather keyfob gold embossed ‘TOP GRAIN LEATHER’ on the back.

You may notice in the listing photos that the little strap of leather retaining the badge to the keyfob is in a slightly darker shade of tan leather than the main body of the keyfob itself – this is because that strip of leather has been skived to a thickness of around 1.25mm whereas the leather forming the main body of the keyfob has been skived to a thickness of around 1.75mm .

Manhattan Windsor will have prepared leather in advance for producing the batch of keyrings which this keyring was produced in and the leather probably came from a different hide of a slightly different shade of leather . Leather is a natural product with slight colour variations – particularly in the 1980s & 1990s when this keyring was produced.

Although this keyring was probably produced during the late 1980s or 1990s ( or very early 2000s ) there were still Lagonda cars on the roads in regular use at that time and in need of keyrings including 1977 onwards Lagonda Series 2 ‘wedge’ saloon .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO  00/551  05/24
