A superb quality original Lancia keyfob badge which came to us from the leather works of Heath & Machin & Co. of Walsall which changed hands in the 1970s and then finally closed in the 1990s.
This gilt plated badge is in excellent physical condition with hand laid vitreous enamel .
Towards the base of the badge the surface of the white enamel has some wear as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .
The gilt plating would originally have been very bright but has mellowed to an attractive ‘antique’ gold finish as these gilt plated badges always do .
This badge will have been made by Heath & Machin of Walsall for mounting onto one of their own leather keyfobs .
At that time almost all keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry which has now moved to The Far East,
We have re-mounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.
Heath & Machin made small leather goods and keyrings and also mounted keyfob badges for other manufacturers most notably Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham .
This badge is original & correct for use with any 1960s or early 1970s Lancia motor car .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
