Land Rover Series III – original 1970s keyring in re-stitched and age worn condition

An original Land Rover keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

We have just this one keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

A very rare example of an original 1970s keyring which will have been produced for use with the Series III Land Rover ( 1971 – 1985 )

These keyrings are very much rarer than the vehicles themselves – the Series III Land Rovers have generally been rebuilt and are still on ( and off ! ) the road whilst the original keyrings which were used with those vehicles have not been so fortunate ( except in the case of this keyring ! )

Once worn out after a hard life in a working vehicle – the original keyrings were simply discarded .

This particular keyring came to us with broken & loose stitching and we have painstakingly picked the original stitching out and restitched the keyring entirely by hand with new linen thread using the original stitching holes .

The vitreous enamel badge has some dings and scuffs and the keyfob is well worn in apart from now having new stitching .

The keyring is now ready for many more miles on & off the road once again dangling from the ignition of a Series III Land Rover .
