Lister WP Automotive – vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob – probably not an original 1980s item

A Lister WP Automotive keyfob badge which we do not think will be an original item from the 1980s.

To be on the safe side we have to assume that this is a reproduction keyfob badge which will have been made at some time since the 1980s.

Having said that – the badge is in vitreous enamel so it has to be a few years old .

We have just this one keyring to offer with this badge  – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This badge is in mint condition and we have remounted it onto a keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos .

We do not know if WP Automotive ever had their own keyrings produced with these badges – we assume that this badge was produced at a later date and is unlikely to be an original WP Automotive item.

It is not often that we list a keyring or a keyfob badge which we are unable to date reasonably accurately or be able to comment on conclusively regarding originality – but in cases like this we always err on the side of caution.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

Lister Cars is a British sports car manufacturer founded by Brian Lister in 1954.

In the 1980s the Lister brand was passed onto WP Automotive of Leatherhead who produced a range of tuning parts for Jaguar cars. SMOSO  00/55    06/22
