Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Lotus - original new old stock 1980s/ 1990s keyring

Original Lotus keyrings which we would think will have been produced in the late 1980s or 1990s & possibly even the early 2000s .

We have just two examples to offer – when both keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled .

These keyrings are both in new old stock condition with vitreous enamel badges mounted onto keyfobs in tan faux leather .

The badges are mounted onto the keyfobs by means of aluminium rivets securing the badge loop – this method of keyring construction carried on through the 1980s into the 1990s and possibly beyond then .

No maker’s mark ( simply a British patent no. under the badges ) but the keyrings will almost certainly have been made in Birmingham.

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were still being made in England although that was soon about to change .

Keyrings like these almost became ‘standard issue’ and many Lotus cars would have been driven with them at the time.

Whilst being budget priced originally they were well made and had genuine jewellery quality vitreous enamel badges .

New keyrings nowadays invariably have modern resin based enamel badges as vitreous enamel keyfob badges like the ones mounted onto these keyrings are apparently no longer produced in England .
