Lotus - original vintage 1970s Renamel keyring

An original Lotus keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

Just this one example to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in very good condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

Made by Renamel of London who were the first keyring manufacturer to offer keyrings with acrylic dome badges  .

These badges were quite a revelation at the time and did not chip when dropped onto a hard surface like the usual vitreous enamel keyfob badges .

Renamel had quite an original method of mounting their badges onto the keyfobs as can be seen in the photos.

The badge has a close spaced double slot through which the badge strap is passed – which effectively locks the badge onto the strap .

Very simple and did work well .
