Lotus – original vintage 1970s Renamel keyring

An original Lotus keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

This keyring is in very good condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

Made by Renamel of London who were the first keyring manufacturer to offer keyrings with acrylic dome badges  .

These badges were quite a revelation at the time and did not chip when dropped onto a hard surface like the usual vitreous enamel keyfob badges .

Renamel’s earliest keyrings produced in the 1970s had badges marked ‘ Renamel – made in england ‘ as this one is .

Later on this reduced to simply ‘made in england’ .
