Lotus – original vintage late 1960s/ early 1970s keyring by Paddy Hopkirk – collector’s item

An original Lotus Paddy Hopkirk keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s .

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This is the only original Paddy Hopkirk Lotus keyring which we have ever listed – a very rare item .

The keyring is in good serviceable condition with an acrylic dome badge ( made by Renamel of London ) mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather.

The back of the keyfob has Paddy Hopkirk’s details embossed – although the emboss is now very faint as can be seen in the photo.

There is a small crack in the acrylic dome badge – also photographed separately .

This crack is actually beneath the acrylic and will probably have been there for a very long time .

It is most unlikely to extend further or cause any problems.

In the 1960s several firms founded by famous motoring names such as Les Leston & Paddy Hopkirk produced keyrings on a very small scale .

Paddy Hopkirk was the famous rally driver who piloted Austin Healey 3000s and Mini Coopers to victory in rallies such as The Monte Carlo.

Paddy Hopkirk then went onto establish a motor accessories business and very occasionally we come across keyrings sold through this venture .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
