Marcos – original vintage 1970s vitreous enamel ‘spider’s web’ badge keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Marcos keyring which will date from the 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer -when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

Original Marcos keyfob badges are very rare items and we have listed very few over the years.

This original Marcos keyring is in excellent condition and could be new old stock .

The nickel plated vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

By the grain of the leather we initially thought that the keyfob was in imitation leather – but upon close inspection we can confirm that it is in genuine black leather .

The badge was made by an unknown badgemaker whose trademark was a spider’s web complete with spider on the back of the badge.

We have seen this design before on badges for other makes of car but have never discovered the identity of the badgemaker.

Curiously it seems that this badgemaker provided Marcos keyfob badges over quite a period of time as we currently have an earlier gilt plated badge listed remounted onto a new leather keyfob ( unless now sold )

That badge is gilt plated which was often the finish provided for 1960s keyfob badges whereas the badge on the keyring in this listing is identical but is nickel plated which was the finish preferred in the 1970s and since then .

This keyring will be original & correct for any 1970s Marcos car.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO  00/57   11/24
