Mercedes Benz – modern? acrylic badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry these keyrings have now both been sold and can no longer be ordered

These 2 keyrings have acrylic keyfob badges which we do not think are original items – both have been remounted onto new leather keyfobs as can be seen in the photos.

When both keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled – just one keyring left.

We have just these 2 keyrings to offer which were a real challenge to photograph due to reflections from the domed acrylic badges !

Maybe we are better at making keyrings rather than photographing them ?

Acrylic dome badges like these were made in the 1970s by Renamel of Kilburn High Road, London – at that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made either in Birmingham or London – it was quite an industry.

The badges on these keyrings look to be brand new with the acrylic dome mounted into a plated metal badge- and is so ‘Mercedes’ as many of the horn button badges etc in the cars at that time were acrylic domes like these.

This badge looks just right in a late 1970s or early 1980s Mercedes Benz car – or could be used as a ‘retro’ keyring in a much later car.

We do not think that these 2 badges are originals but have never seen any reproductions.

These acrylic dome badges have proved their worth over the years and have lasted as well as their vitreous enamel counterparts.

We are offering the badges mounted onto our keyfobs in navy blue leather as can be seen in the photos- navy blue leather was what Mercedes Benz used for many keyrings at that time.

When both keyrings have been sold then this listing will be cancelled.  SMOSO   59/93      08/21
