Mercedes Benz – new condition riveted keyring with an acrylic badge

A Mercedes Benz keyring which is difficult to date as these keyrings with the badge riveted onto the keyfob were produced from the 1980s up until relatively recently .

We would think that this one will have been produced within the last 20 years or so – it is NOT an original vintage Mercedes Benz keyring  keyring .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in brand new condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

These acrylic badges have the advantage over the more traditional vitreous enamel badges in that they do not crack or craze when dropped onto a hard surface !

The badge is mounted onto the keyfob by means of an aluminium rivet securing the badge loop – this method of keyring construction carried on through the late 1980s until relatively recently .

Almost certainly this keyring would have been made in Birmingham – many car keyrings were still being made in England in the early 2000s although that was changing fast .
