Mercedes Benz – original 1980s Royal blue vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Mercedes Benz keyfob badge which we would date as having been produced in the 1980s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

An original vitreous enamel Mercedes Benz keyfob badge which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in full grain Navy blue leather – in the 1980s many Mercedes Benz keyrings were produced in Navy blue leather so we have carried the tradition on .

This nickel plated vitreous enamel badge is in Royal blue enamel and is in really superb condition as can be seen from the photos .

Mercedes Benz keyfob badges in the 1970s were generally solid badges but by the 1980s often had 3 perforated sections milled out of the badge like this example which made them rather attractive and set them apart from other Mercedes Benz keyfob badges made before and since.

By the 1990s the badges had generally reverted back to being solid again.

As the 3 perforated sections had been milled out of a solid badge the ‘ MADE In ENGLAND ‘ statement marked on the reverse of the badge often disappeared with the milled sections but can still be seen in this case.

A superb keyring with a badge which is original & correct for any 1980s Mercedes Benz motor car but would also look great used as a ‘retro’ keyring with a classic touch in a much later car .
